Super mikasa crystal
Tuesday, May 12th, 2009The wedding I went to last week was all set up with fantastic mikasa crystal accessories for all the reception tables. They had mikasa wedding favors and mikasa crystal glassware on every reception table. What excellent taste the bride has in decorating a wedding and reception tables. The tables just shined with lustre and elegance with all the different mikasa accessories.
They had little silver doves as the place card holders, and on the end of their tails were little place cards with a bride and groom printed on them. The elegance of her reception tables were enhanced by the lovely centerpieces she had chosen. The exquisite pillar candles she had for her centerpieces were so lovely with the floral ring around them. They gave out fantastic party favors for everyone at the reception. Mikasa crystal wedding favors were given to each and every one of us. The beautiful mikasa crystal was packaged in such lovely favor boxes with nice little thank you hang tags attached.
Their wedding cake was another spectacular sight to behold with five layers of luscious chocolate with chocolate cream cheese in between each layer. She topped the wedding cake with a very exceptional wedding cake topper. She shopped online for almost all of her wedding accessories and reception supplies and found out they customized cake toppers for weddings. They make figurines that look just like the bride and groom for the topper and all it takes is sending them a couple head shots of the happy couple. It looked just like them. My mom and dad are having a renewal ceremony for their anniversary, and I’d like to find out where she ordered that cake topper from so I could get one made for their reception party.
The garter toss was really a riot, I laughed so hard. All those single men gathered together with a growing excitement while they watched the groom remove the leg garter from his bride. As the garter flew through the air, they were all falling into each other as they tried desperately to grab it up. The funniest part though, is that the winner of the garter toss was a widower in his 70’s that didn’t even want to participate in the toss. There was a big smile on the old mans face as he walked off with the garter in his hand.
For the bridal toast we all had crystal champagne flutes, that we were also given to take home, with the names of the bride and groom, and date of the wedding printed on them. After the best man said his speech and we toasted the bride and groom, it was time for their first dance together as man and wife. They made such an elegant couple as they danced across the dance floor. The floor quickly filled up with couples right after the wedding couple finished their first dance. My poor feet suffered the consequences of my all night dancing.
Then it was time for the happy couple to leave the reception and begin their honeymoon, so everyone was yelling good bye and good luck. One of the other guests told me they were honeymooning in Hawaii. They’ll have a honeymoon to equal this fabulous wedding and reception. We all stay for quite a while after the bride and groom left and partied ourselves into exhaustion.
A couple of weeks later, I received a thank you note from the bride and groom for the wedding gift and for attending. I was surprised to receive a thank you so soon. I did manage to get the information on the website that she ordered everything for the mikasa wedding favor from and the unique wedding cake topper too. I’m ordering what I need for my parents anniversary wedding party today.
