We had a lovely little communion party for our daughter. I wanted to find communion favors that would not only be beautiful to the eye but have a spiritual touch to them. So, I checked out a lot of religious shops and even book stores but still couldn’t find anything that seemed just right. We didn’t want to lose the fact of the importance of this special day, but we also wanted to make this party a memorable one. I also bought a girls pink photo album for her to have as her very own with pictures of her first holy communion day and the party with her friends and family. I did go to a bakery for her cake, but as far as the food, we didn’t use caterers, some of the ladies helped me out by preparing some dishes of their own to bring. We had fried chicken, potato salad, vegetables and a few different types of salads. Just a nice dinner to share with our friends and loved ones. This party really meant a lot to our daughter and all of us had such a lovely time. She got a lot of very nice gifts from everyone and her father and I bought her a lovely gold cross with her name engraved on the back.

All during the party I was picturing her wedding day and I could see my little girl walking down the aisle to join her husband to be. I know that day is not so far away and we will be sitting down checking out the online selection for wedding favors and accessories.
